I really enjoy photographing small, intimate weddings and I just loved Jessie and Greg’s unique Kolo Klub wedding in Hoboken, New Jersey. They only had their immediate family members at the ceremony, as they are quite shy and don’t like a lot of attention. They left the short but sweet ceremony, officiated by Jessie’s brother in law, went out to dinner, then reconvened back at the adorable, sexy Kolo Klub (a really unique salon space with a speakeasy vibe) for a party with about 100 of their friends and extended family. Passed Hors d’oeuvres, some toasts, dancing to DJ Sean Derek, and cake, perfect!
Jessie and Greg wanted their whole wedding experience to be super personal, fun, and as stress-free as possible.
Part of making the experience fun and stress-free for them was hiring vendors that they really truly loved and trusted. On the day of the wedding, everything was a lovely surprise. Obsessed with those Park and Bloom florals. The bouquet was magical and the sweet little unique bud vases on the tables were darling.
Jessie and Greg said “Having a local wedding was also a conscious decision designed to make the day fun and easy. On the morning of the wedding, we got ready together in our apartment in Jersey City. I had my cousin come over to do my hair, and my sister came over to say hi for a few minutes too. Greg played video games while I did my makeup. It was quiet, stress-free, and relatively normal!”
