Megan and Salem’s Hudson Valley wedding at Glynwood Farms—where Megan works—was a true labor of love. This farm-to-table wedding was thoughtfully planned with the help of Lauren of Halve Maen Events, and an incredibly supportive circle of family and friends.
Their Glynwood Farms wedding was local, seasonal, and deeply rooted in place, with regional flowers, food, beverages, and a deeply supportive community. Truly farm-to-table in every sense, everything was sourced from local vendors and perfectly in season. It felt less like a production and more like a community coming together. If you’re dreaming of a farm-to-table Hudson Valley wedding, Glynwood Center for regional food and farmin in the Hudson Valley is a magical location.
Their friend Pixie Scout roasted the lamb from Glynwood Farms and prepared all of the delicious food. Another friend, Diana, sourced flowers from Titusville Farm and created the most beautiful wedding canopy for Megan and Salem to wed beneath, along with lush arrangements that filled the venue and adorned the tables.
The ceremony was officiated by their friend Kathleen Anderson, an incredibly talented glass blower and artist. (Highly recommend checking out her work—I bought a flower vase as a gift and promptly kept it for myself.) She donates 10% of her proceeds to climate change organizations, which felt perfectly aligned with the spirit of the day.
I loved that Salem made the welcome signs, the “gay agenda” sign, and a timely socialist wedding signature board modeled after Eugene V. Debs’ 1912 presidential campaign poster. Full disclosure: I had to look him up-another historical figure who I can’t believe isn’t common knowledge. He fought for the emancipation of the working class, women’s rights, and the abolishment of the electoral college—values that resonated deeply throughout the celebration.
I loved Megan and Salem from the moment I met them and was thrilled they trusted me enough to truly let me loose—making memories and photographs that felt as intentional, joyful, and alive as they are. Their commitment to the planet and to the human condition makes you want to be around them, take care of them, and see them happy.
Megan wore a lovely lace dress from Brides by Young with an adorable birdcage veil, while Salem wore a fabulous rust-colored velvet suit from Bindle and Keep paired with a feathery bow tie. Megan’s ring—heart—was her mother’s, with the addition of a diamond from her great-grandmother’s ring. They wed under a floral arch overlooking the farm while their two friends played music, ate under a tent nestled up to the beautiful old stone house, and danced under the stars.
